About this tool
Split Odd and Even Pages divides one PDF into two output files: one containing pages 1, 3, 5, and so on, and another containing pages 2, 4, 6, and so on. Use it to separate front and back page sets for printing, isolate alternating answer or review pages, or divide documents that assign odd and even pages to different workflows. The original order inside each output is preserved. This tool does not interleave two files back into the original alternating order. All processing happens locally in your browser using pdf-lib; the source file never leaves your device. Maximum file size is 50 MB.

Will I get two separate downloads?
Yes. The tool produces two PDF files — one for odd pages, one for even pages — and triggers two downloads in sequence.
Is the order within each output preserved?
Yes. Pages keep their original order within each output. The odd file has pages 1, 3, 5, ...; the even file has pages 2, 4, 6, ...
What if my PDF has only odd-numbered or only even-numbered pages?
Only the non-empty file will be downloaded. If your PDF has 5 pages, you'll get one file with 3 odd pages and one with 2 even pages.
Can the current merge tool restore alternating page order?
No. The current merge tool concatenates whole files in sequence; it does not interleave odd and even pages.
Is my PDF uploaded to any server?
No. All processing is done locally in your browser using pdf-lib. The file never leaves your device.
What is the file size limit?
