PDF Page Size Converter rebuilds every source page on a consistent A4, US Letter, US Legal, or custom-size canvas. Choose millimetres, inches, or PDF points, set portrait or landscape orientation, and select how the original content should be placed. Fit keeps the entire page visible and may leave whitespace; Fill covers the target edge to edge and clips overflow; Center without upscaling keeps small pages at their original size while shrinking only pages that are too large. Content is always scaled proportionally rather than stretched. This tool changes the physical page canvas, unlike Crop PDF Pages, which only changes the visible CropBox, and unlike N-up PDF, which combines several source pages on one sheet. Pages are embedded as PDF content so text and vectors normally remain sharp, but page-level interactive structures such as links, bookmarks, forms, and annotations are not guaranteed to survive the rebuild. Everything runs locally in the browser.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between Fit, Fill, and Center without upscaling?
Fit shows the entire source page and may add whitespace. Fill covers the target page and clips overflow. Center without upscaling leaves smaller pages at original size but shrinks pages that are too large to fit.
Will the converter stretch or distort page content?
No. Width and height always use the same scale factor. When source and target aspect ratios differ, the result uses whitespace in Fit mode or clipping in Fill mode instead of distortion.
Can I convert a PDF with mixed page sizes?
Yes. Each input page is measured separately and placed on the same selected target size, so a document containing several paper sizes becomes consistent for printing or delivery.
Does this preserve searchable text and vector graphics?
Pages are embedded as PDF content rather than raster screenshots, so text and vector artwork normally remain sharp and searchable. Always inspect complex PDFs after conversion.
Will links, forms, bookmarks, and annotations still work?
They are not guaranteed to remain interactive because the page content is redrawn onto newly created pages. Keep the original PDF when those structures matter.
How is this different from cropping or N-up PDF?
This tool changes every page canvas to a target paper size. Cropping changes the visible page box without laying content onto a new size, while N-up places multiple source pages together on each output sheet.
Is page-size conversion private?
Yes. The input is parsed and the new PDF is assembled locally in your browser. No document page or generated file is uploaded to ToolsKit.
