About this tool
Read standard AcroForm fields without saving or rewriting the PDF. JSON preserves strings, booleans, arrays and null so a multi-selection such as ["a, b", "c"] remains unambiguous. It includes fully qualified names, export/display choice mappings, read-only/required/password flags and widget pages found through actual page annotation membership. Checkbox/radio raw values and widget appearance states are exposed separately; agreement with the displayed appearance is not verified. Password field values are included in the local report. XFA and malformed or cyclic form trees are rejected. Signature fields are listed as present or empty without cryptographic verification. Limits: 20 MiB, 200 pages, 200 fields, 400 widgets, 500 choices and bounded strings.

Goal: Inspect typed AcroForm values and actual widget pages
- Load the form example and inspect the choices field.
- Observe an array with two values, a, b and c.
- Download full JSON and keep the array type when processing it.
Result: The first selected value includes a comma; there are two choices, not three.
Failure Clinic (Common Pitfalls)
Does a Signature field mean the PDF is verified?
Cause: No. The report lists the field and whether a value is present; signature validity, certificates and integrity are not verified.
Fix: Use a PDF signature verifier to validate certificates and signed byte ranges before trusting a signature.
How are multi-select values exported?
Cause: As arrays of strings, keeping commas inside individual values. Missing values remain null and explicit empty text remains an empty string.
Fix: Keep the JSON array type in downstream code; use valuePresent to distinguish missing data from an explicit empty string.
